nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, - SEP 26, 2009
Draught at Lion Brewery, Saigon. Clear golden with a medium white head. It’s rather grainy and perhaps a little rough. Some citrus is evident for balance and finish sweet and bitter. It’s not a great pils but not too bad.

30cl draft at the brewpub. Almost clear dark golden with an off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel. Sweet and malty followed by a slight bitter finish. Nice to finaly have a fresh beer with some bitterness again. More bitter than most pale lagers down here. Quite decent brew. (2012-05-11)

Beershine (4766) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - DEC 18, 2009
Draft @ brewpub. hazy burnt orange with thick off-white head. Initial aroma is husky but mild, very earthy and subdued. Mineral water flavors and in the palate. Slightly sour tang in the finish. Not a great beer.

Oakes (10202) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 12, 2009
Light bronze colour. Faint aroma hints of malts. Very light hop accent. Vaguely leafy accent with biscuity malt character and some minerally dryness in the finish.

Draught@brewpub. A bit hazy dark golden color, small white head, some lace. Quite sweet and malty nose. Carbonated. Malty, a bit sweet, malty aftertaste. Unoffensive.

Draft. Cloudy orange with a wispy white head - looked more like a wheat beer than a pilsener. Sweet aroma of strong malt and wheat, vanilla ice cream. Tasts of strong hops, wheat and grain. Vanilla in the aftertaste, accompanying a tangy bitterness. The palate was chewy and moresome. An excellent pilsener, undoubtedly the best I had in SE Asia, perhaps due to the German ingredients and technology within this microbrewery. Moreish, crisp, hearty and flavoursome.

this place was pretty lame compared to some other beer places i’d been in HCMC. very close to the Caravell so if your in town, its easy to find. always weird to have bad vietnamese food in a german style brewpub. they had this pilsener and a dunkels style beer. goldne tan with a frothy head. small nose of toasted oates. flavor was thin and crisp with a slight grainy biscuit flavor. average.
