Dark black beer light brown head. Great malty complexity, raisin, dates, toast, molasses and rum overlie a sweet smooth dark chocolate flavour. Rich texture, sweet, but not cloying. Great roasty flavour with a bit of blackberry. Sweet roasty aroma, molasses and rum. Toasted wheat and chocolate. Light tar but its well balanced by sweet malt complexity. Nice brew.

Bottle. Nearly opaque body with touches of red on the edges. Thick fluffy beige head that lasts. Nose-tootsie roll, grape, cola. Taste-wow. This tastes almost exactly like every homebrewed stout I have ever had. Extract twang, cola, and malt vinegar. The extract t twang dominates. Vinegar is too persuasive.

Pours Black w/ tiny brown head. Smells of cola and hint of chocolate. Refreshing but bitter aftertaste. Not very strong. Good to try but its different.

Pours almost black with a thin brown head that is completely gone after 3 seconds. The aroma is almost non-existant. I can smell a hint of licorice, alcohol, cola, and malt, but that’s it. The flavor of this one is very poor - it doesn’t taste like a stout at all. It’s more like a crappy pilsner imitating a stout. There is really nothing good about this beer. It has a very harsh, bitter taste that is not in the least pleasant, and the palate is watery and chalky. Drain pour!

Thanks to Matta for this one. The pour is dark blackish, with small brown head. Aroma of roasty dark malt, chocoff, some tobacco and cherries. The flavor is roasty malty, with some fruit and tobacco hints, and a medium palate.

bottle. Reddish-black pour with a modest head. THe nose is sweet of almonds and cola with a bit of coffee in there. The flavor is quite similar and is rather sticky. Decent for a drink, I guess, but it reminds just a bit too much of soda.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2006 Bottle thanks to Kevin. Pours a nice opaque black with a thick brown head. Aroma of coffee, molasses and licorice. Its all downhill from there. Thin mouthfeel. The finish is like vinegary, like a cheap red wine. Dis is bod sheet mon! Kevin, your beer manager friend needs to hang with us and develop his palate. Heh heh!

Bottle from SuperPlus, Kingston, JA. The bottle I had contained some strange blurb about this being a base Pils, cleverly turned into a Stout??? Anyway, this is a little weak and watery for the strength. Chalky Stoutness, with a bit too much fizz. Lacks smoothness or depth of flavour. Powdered choc feel.
