Pours a pale, golden color with no head to speak of. Smells like sweet steel and alcohol. Tastes metallic, hints of creamed corn and booze. Thin and watery, avoid.

First of all this is not a normal pale lager, it is definitely a european strong laber style. Pours a clear pale gold with minimal head. Aroma sweet corn and malts. Flavor very very alcoholy and abrasive, kinda reminding me of rubbing alcohol. Drank this around a bonfire which was perfect setting for it.

Bottle, poured into a pint glass. Pours light gold with a large creamy and frothy white head. There is no lacing but the head does stick around for the whole beer. Looking at the glass it is sparkling and very thin looking like a pale lager should look. There is a slight grassy and citrusy aroma with a little alcohol aroma. Takeing a taste there is a slight citrusy taste along with a hint of banana taste. The body is light with a watery texture and lively carbonation. In the finish: There is a metallic finish along with a alcoholic finish.

Pours a fizzy yellow color without much head at all. Bananas and apples in the aroma. Very sweet tasting beer with a lot of apple juice. Surprisingly not offensive.

This pours a dark gold with a one finger head that fades quick. Has a bread-corn hint on the nose. Taste is different. Not much of a lager flavor, more of malt liquor? Finish is harsh and bitter.

The aroma was fruity with a grape note when first poured into the glass. A strong grape juice (like white grape juice) character dominated the aroma with wafts of strong alcohol. Some caramel lurked behind and a light bready character. In the glass the beer was crystal clear golden but lost all head in an instant and barely even traced at the glass. The flavor was malty and strong with alcohol. There could be no doubt that this beast is here and is going for your throat with the entire pride backing him up. Caramel and a lightly spicy hop nature was notable, but alcohol ruled the day. The body was medium full and with a low level of carbonation the beer was not creamy on the palate. The alcohol was notable in the aroma and flavor but was surprisingly restrained in the warming that came after consumption. Not my first choice for an Imperial Pils. 330 ml bottle.

So this imperial "thing" has carried over to Sri Lanka. Bring it on! Light golden color with a full off-white head. Dust malt and corn aromas. Hints of alcohol mix with the corn. The longer this one warms the worse it smells. Light floral sweetness couples with pale malt and light corn syrup. A somewhat sharp middle with a lightly acidic/acetic bite that carries to the finish and linger. Full bodied and sort of silky. Finish is simple and just has a grain induced light alcohol sweetness. A malt liquor by any other name...

Lighty skunk smell with a sweet honey color. Very light watery taste with a little malt and hints of grain.

Much more of a malt liquor than a pale lager. Light adjunct filled aroma, and sweet corn and sugar flavor. Very sweet for a pale lager. Yellow.

Strong corn aroma. Golden colored body with a true white head. Some faint hops come through. I would compare this to a good malt liquor. But IMO it’s really hard to do much with that style.
