COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: Water; Barley malt; Hops, Yeast.
We’ve been brewing Lion Lager in Sri Lanka since 1881. Lion Lager is made from the very best ingredients - it’s malty, refreshing, and natural tasting. This is a beer of character for people of character.

ABV ranges from 4.1% to 4.8%

Perhaps a bad bottle? Skunky nose reminded me of moosehead. Really horrible. Sort of a sweet and slightly sour body. Dry finish. There really isn’t a good reason for them to bring this beer down the mountain, across the sea etc...

I’ll stick to their stout. Nutty/sweet and a touch cloying. A somewhat typical foreign lager.

Only slightly better than Bud Light. Watery, over carbonated, little flavor. Hard to believe that the same people make Lion Stout.

Not too bad, but again, a pathetic relative to the amazing Lion Stout. Fairly easy drinking and enjoyable.

Pale in comparison to its surprisingly flavorful stout brother. It served as a smooth transition between more flavorful stouts.

4.2% alcohol: Something in the aroma reminded me of puke, and that pretty much ruined the beer for me. The flavor is thin and not particularly dry. Like the monsoon season in Sri Lanka, this beer never seemed to end!

Nutty, doughy aroma. Very pale gold with white head. Sweet, not very hoppy, slightly vinegary. Medium to thin palate.

Good beer. Much better than the lion stout. The foil around the cap makes this look like your drinking some high-priced, high-class beer when it is really nothing more than a slightly better version of Bud Light.

Very light and easy to drink. A beautiful golden color with a rather pleasant after taste. Well worth the money.

Cheap International Lager fest, part two (I had Taj Mahal last night). Decent-looking brew, with a nice full creamy head. Strong reasonably fresh typical lager aroma. Flavor rather thin, watery, very very smooth, well-balanced as some have said but in this case I would say that means ’just as little hops as malt’. Finish like water. Too bad, it started out more promising than I would have expected...
