1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 4, 2008
Little or no head; yellow-golden beer. Dull malts, chalk, faint lemonbalm. Rather bitterish initial taste, but immediately going into watery flavour & MF, only enlivened by some carbonation. Fizzy-ish, watery. Less than average lager. I wonder what hails some importers. They offer this ultra-bland lager from Lion Brewery, but no way to get the Stout.
Potassium metabisulfite????

Pale malt aroma with a light touch of grassy hop. Brassy gold color with a fizzy white head that was impressive til it flattened. Medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Almost light caramel malt flavor with very light hop. Pretty dry, near tart, finish. Better than your average American macro.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Hammster (187) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - OCT 6, 2007
Bottle. Poured pretty dark for a lager; the gold tone was a honey-amber color. The head was small and rapidly disappeared. The nose is very faint sweet malts. The taste is flat. There is some sweet honey malt but it’s extremely subtle. The finish is watery with some lingering malt flavor. This reminds me of zero-calorie Nestea with an artificial sweetener. Now I know what they do with all that extra water every year when Sri Lanka floods.
