Bottle from an Indian grocer in Wembley. Expectations were low. Surprisingly deep golden colour, this was a relatively malty tropical lager, had some (if not enough) hop. Went quite well with my curry. It’s a dull lager but this sample avoided any nasties and was refreshing enough.

Bottle. Clear pale golden colour. Sweetish aroma of malt and rice. Taste is sweet, some caramel and honey and hop notes. A bit too sweet for my lager taste. Light body, medium carbonation. Not bad but not exactly worth a trip to Sri Lanka for the beer alone either.

Bottle from Sri Lanka. Clear amber with a head that leaves no trace. Smells of bread and maybe apricots? Light bitterness, slick feel. Doesn’t taste that much. Generic lager, good for warm summer days.

Aroma - caramel malt and some British malts. Appearance - the body is a hazy unfiltered amber. The head is white and around 1/2" and fades into a thin layer of foam. Taste - has a caramel malt, some British style hops (Fuggles & East Kent Goldings). Palate - body is on the lighter side of medium, slight creaminess, average carbonation, and malty finish.
