1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 DylansDad (168) - NEW ZEALAND - MAR 11, 2013
Poured from a can. Aroma almost non-existent, which is probably for the better because all I detected was the smell of a swimming pool changing room, after hours.
Appearance: nice colour, clarity etc, but the head soon degenerates into dishwater. When I was young I used to enjoy hoovering up the suds, but now it’s a bit off-putting.
Taste: It’s all at the front. Malt sweetness, with the faintest hint of bitterness. Then it’s all over as soon as it began with no middle or finish.
Not a beer to enjoy for the taste, but easy to drink enough to get your buzz.
BTW, the taste changes from ok to disgusting pretty quickly, so you are forced to drink fast.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 madquacker (951) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - FEB 8, 2013
Dark orange colour with a small head. Harsh and confronting after the elegance of NZ’s craft brews. Strong flavour of water.

From a bottle, this beer has little aroma, Deep amber colour with a small white head that soon disapreared. A malty balance with small amount of hops, be enough to keep the mouth feel fresh.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 omega (492) - NEW ZEALAND - DEC 22, 2012
From a "Big Red" 440ml can. One of the biggest positives is that I did not pay for this. Little of anything in this beer, Cardboard nose, little happening on the palate. A working mans beer.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 EMunk (96) - USA - NOV 20, 2012
Enjoyed a pull of this at Pub ’n Grub in Taupo, New Zealand near the lake. Not a bad brew to enjoy with Dinner, but nothing special either. A typically Lager, but right up there with the Bud Selects of the world.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cantabrian (387) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 15, 2012
Not bad. Looks good dark amber, almost red. Nothing special about weak carbonation. Nose is weak and sweet. Taste is too sweet and malty and not enough bitterness, but not as bad as some other mainstrem NZ beers. Totally drinkeable, but better very cold.

12/V/2012 - 33cl bottle @ Joyce’s place - BB: 11/V/12 (2012-489) Thanks to Thomas and Annelies for the bottle!
Clear light amber beer, very small off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet caramel, nutty, some dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: sour start, then pretty bitter, toast, nutty, little sweet. Aftertaste: bitter hops, nuts, some mocha even, caramel, orange peel, very bitter ending. Reminds me more of a English bitter than an American Dark Lager, no?
1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 PictouRx (120) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 2, 2012
On my travels of NZD lately poured from 330ml bottle, thin white head, little fora aroma, pale amberish color. Underwhelming experience, sort of a mainstream Kiwi beer to polish one after another without any satisfaction other than a cheap drunk. Unfortunately again weak on the alcohol.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 reebtogi (3267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 30, 2012
330ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a small white head that settles quickly to reveal only a few specks of lacing. Aroma is light caramel and cereal grains with some light hops. Taste is malty sweetness with a mild citrusy hop finish. Light body with light carbonation. A typical macro lager with some color added.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Baz7778 (58) - SCOTLAND - FEB 23, 2012
Mainstream larger very sessionable easy drinking beer, neither excites the palate or offends it
