Bought in a shop in Sri Lanka. I brought this beer home from my holiday to Sri Lanka but unfortunately about 25% of the beer managed to seep through the top into my suitcase. As it was a 625 ml bottle I still had a fair bit to taste. Anyway, I wasn’t a great lover of it however despite it being the strongest beer I’ve ever tried I didn’t think the alcohol was overpowering and this was more than drinkable. So although not a thumbs up from me It’s still the best strong beer I’ve tried.

Odeurs d' épices douces, raisins secs, fruits de la passion. En bouche pas très gazeuse... Avec un goût assez plat je ne serait pas trop l'identifier...

24/V/14 - 33cl bottle @ Procrastinated Spontan Gent Tasting - BB: I/2014 (oops!) (2014-529) Thanks to Maja for the bottle!

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very sugary, honey, orange peel, pretty oxidized. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, sugary, alcohol, some citric acidity, honey, oxidized. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, grains, malt, pretty bitter, hint of almonds, very unpleasant. Pretty sure it’s not just age... :p

Courtesy of & thanks to tderoeck. 33 cl. bottle sampled @ “Procrastinated Spontaneity /…………/ 2 Boekjes” tasting @ Gent. Pale golden with little white bubbles. Nose is very cheap honey, apples, sweeteners and a metallic edge. Taste is awful, rubbing alcohol taste and sensation, this stuff burns in your throat, rubbing alcohol and cheapest honey around, touch sugar, hay, lingering rubbing alcohol sensation in your throat aftertaste. Fizzy, oily and a bit watery. Truly awful stuff, only fit for getting terribly drunk as intended I suppose.
