Odeurs d' épices douces, raisins secs, fruits de la passion. En bouche pas très gazeuse... Avec un goût assez plat je ne serait pas trop l'identifier...

Bottled 625ml. Appearance: It pours a fully golden beer with a decent average sized white head. Nice lacework. Aroma: Grapes, white bread, cork, nutmeg, apples and rice. Flavor and palate: Rice, apricots, cork, apples and grapes showing up. Champagne-like. The alcohol is very well hidden. Some lemongrass sneaking in? Medium to full bodied. Pepper appearing with the swallow. Huge amounts of grapes, apples and white bread in the finish. Overall impression: A pleasant surprise. This beer is underrated in my opinion.

Bottle at home, 330 ml. Into a stemmed glass. ABV 8.8% Pours a really deep golden yellow colour beer, with two finger of white head. Thick density, average retention. Medium lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet, lots of malts and the alcohol already present. Not bad, but after a while it starts to smell kind of medicinal and that’s not so good either. Taste is also very sweet and malty. Grass, strong alcohol -not so obvious on the tongue but notable once has gone down-, grains. Medium thick body, carbonation good but towards the low side. Although nothing impressive but still manages to taste better than the local supermarket strong beers.

330ml Bottle: Aroma of malt and some hops. Poured yellow/gold in color with a large, foamy, white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of malt and hops. Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Malt and hop finish. 8.8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

New Beer Distributors, NY 330ml ($2): Purchased this as Lion Imperial Lager, but the alcohol content is 8.8% so I guess it is this. Pours slightly orange color with a quickly dissipating white head Aroma is sugar, alcohol, and something vaguely akin to a Belgian Strong Ale. Taste is really sweet. It has a bit of burn, and a finish that tastes like a generic lager, but only ever so slightly. For what is essentially malt liquor, this ain’t bad.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Clear golden with a dense, off-white head leaving some lacework. Sweetish malty aroma. Quite full-bodied with sweet and sticky brewing cereal. Somewhat fusty. Alcoholic finish. 291208

courtesy of Julien Allen - slightly hazy golden colour with a little foam left; aroma of corn, apple and a touch of alcohol; sweet and slightly oily, quite thick; some tartness and lot of residual sugars with more apples, corn and a note of warming alcohol in the finish

The head is nice, but, just medium stable, the body is orange. It smells sweet, alcoholic, malty, a bit sugary. Taste is sweet, malty, watery, dry, barley, alcoholic. 14/6/6/6/15/6
