2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JFGrind (1715) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 12, 2006
Found this @ the 6-Pack store in NE Philly a buck-fittie for a double duce. Unattractive standard "Lionshead" label and flat pour was dissapointing. No foam but a vanilla alcohol zing, and a smooth flavor. No chemical aftertaste present and a adequate malt liquor alcohol level. Curious to find out what the alcohol level actually is in this ML. Bonus my girl took a look at my eyes after consumption and asked if I smoked weed, no it was just the effects of a Lionshead ML. Label had a "CA Redemption Value" I wonder if bottles make it out to Cali. It may be a good malt liquor to drink before a Raiders game or a Hell’s Angels BBQ.

Im a sucker for a good malt liquor, unfortunately, this is not one of them. Needs a better label first off. The homies would never buy this stuff as is. Just way too sweet, I like mine a bit more attenuated.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 ClarkVV (3579) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 6, 2006
UPDATED: AUG 7, 2006 Absolutely no idea how old this is. Bottle consumed on 8/4/06. Still quite the consumate head. Fluffy, somewhat dense even and stark white, atop a syrupy looking deep golden-urine body. Plenty of cabonation left. Sweet corn and lots of sugary malt in the nose is somewhat aided by a slight touch of grassy hops. No kidding. Ethanol works its magic on the finish, as sweet, bready, heavily syrupy malts take over. Strong in flavor, with a heavily carbonated mouthfeel, the corn sugar, caramel and toffee really open things up. It’s no light bodied, dry, alcoholic, sharp malt liquor. A nice, soft, liquorous malt liquor. But don’t get me wrong, chemical and plastic begin to appear on the end, with the corny flavors and simple, sweet malt. Alcohol is not overt, but still rather warming. Interesting....
2.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 collieman (191) - montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 18, 2005
Found at the liquor barn platsburg, only 1 case, only 3 left, casheir told me it was a one time purchas. $.99 american, who can say no? I was actualy a little suprised by this one. Pours a hazy gold, not yellow but darker, honeyish, heavy carbonation, and a crazy overflowing head of large whispy white bubbles. Aroma is of fuel, green peppers and skunk {but it was a slightly dusty bottle, and it was clear so that was probably just ageing}, palat is thin and watery, with just the slightest oily viscosity. No lacings {ofcource not}. Taste is actualy kinda nice. Very sweet golden malt thined with a lovley small hit of fairly bitter hops. Undertones of ceral, earth notes, green grass, clove and just the SLIGHEST taste of grain alcohol. Aftertaste is skunky and domonated by a sweet hoppeyness. I like it. Cheers

I had to buy this, just because I never saw it before and It looked horrible. Hazy, pale golden color with a white head. Sweet malty, skunky, weak hoppy aroma. I expected this to be terrible but it wasn’t all that bad. Sweet hoppy flavor. Typical malt liquor taste. Drinkable 99cent 22oz.

Thanks to the marvelous clear bottle, I can see that this beer has a hazy golden body. Cracking the top almost oveflows with foam. Aroma is sick, marked with hot chilis and alcohol. But surprisingly, the flavor isn’t all that bad, no trace of alcohol and a mild hoppiness, finishing sweet and tangy. I’m not sure of the alcohol %, but it doesn’t seem to be in the malt liquor range. Surprisingly drinkable.
