COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A college favorite, Lionshead carries the traditional lion symbol painted on the outside of The Brewery since the early days of brewing in Wilkes-Barre. It is a crisp, clean, easy drinking American lager-pilsner style beer made with the finest American malts, corn, and hops.

Have no idea how this and miller lite are called pilsners, but anyway not a bad beer for the price. I mean its pretty bad, but not that bad. Malt, malt and more malt, might as well call it a watered down malt liquor, I’ll drink it if the only alternative is macros

very good beer for the price. Good taste..better than natrual ice if you only have 10 bucks left and want a case. I like it as beer to drink daily. good light beer. Not my first choice of course but for a local beer for me it isn’t bad.

Bottle from Epps in Limerick. Pours a deeper shade of gold than many pale lagers, with aroma of pale malt, some hopcit, and some honey. Decent palate smoothness, with decent balance. Indeed, almost like a poor man’s Yuengling of sorts.

Pale tan color - very little aroma. Taste is very sweet, with hints of corn and a touch of caramel. Very similar to Yuengling Lager, but not quite as good.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2006 for 10 bucks a case it is hard to go wrong. it tastes like a poor mans yuengling. This beer gets points for the little quizes inside the bottle caps.

I’m shocked that this isn’t horrible. I expected it to be bad enough to pour down the drain but it’s bordering on drinkable. Maybe I’m just thirsty or something.

even if you’re flat broke...you only need 3 friends to chip in 3 bucks a piece to get you a case of this crap. It’s even in bottles !! (hands down) the BEST damn cheap beer in the world....and believe me, I’ve had them ALL !!

Not bad at all, especially for a cheaper beer. I’ve had some of Lion Brewery’s other beers(Stegmaier, National Bohemian), and have always been impressed with their continuations of old regional favorite beers. Even though it’s my least fave of the 3, it is smooth, easy drinking, definitely has a feel of being corn-brewed, with somewhat a sweetness to it. Not overly carbonated either. Good for the price!

The best thing about this beer is its $11 a case for bottles! Great for those of us still at college!

Reminds me of the when I was and underage drinker and I we would buy Schlitz. Only it tastes better and costs less! Whoe new. A very good beer for a budget. Overall a pleasant taste.
