COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A college favorite, Lionshead carries the traditional lion symbol painted on the outside of The Brewery since the early days of brewing in Wilkes-Barre. It is a crisp, clean, easy drinking American lager-pilsner style beer made with the finest American malts, corn, and hops.

Served: bottle. Recommended cold. Standard American-pilsner yellow with a straightforward flavor of malt and grasses. Quick clear finish but may leave a mild bitterness at the very end. This beer’s major redeeming quality is the pricetag: $12/case, and a local-brewery product better than generic canned brews of similar price. Also, the under-the-cap puzzles provide minor entertainment.

Old reliable. A nice, average beer. Easy to drink, cheap, good for parties. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2007 Just bought a case of this beer. This beer has a very rank smell when you first open the bottle..pour into a glass let it sit for a minute and the smell will almost completely dissipate and your left with a smooth easy drinking summer beer.

Watery but that is expected from a beer this cheap. Regular old lager. For the price I would buy it over most other american lagers. Still not saying much.

Decent pilsner. Lingering head, good appearance. Aroma of hay. Mild corn flavor with a slight hint of diacetyl which balances it out quite well. Best bang for the buck I’ve seen in a while.

very good beer for the price. Good taste..better than natrual ice if you only have 10 bucks left and want a case. I like it as beer to drink daily. good light beer. Not my first choice of course but for a local beer for me it isn’t bad.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2007 Dear Lion Brewery, Thank you for making Lionshead so cheap. Thanks to the cheapness, I was able to consume over 50 cases of your beer in 2 months with my friend Bilbo.
