COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A college favorite, Lionshead carries the traditional lion symbol painted on the outside of The Brewery since the early days of brewing in Wilkes-Barre. It is a crisp, clean, easy drinking American lager-pilsner style beer made with the finest American malts, corn, and hops.

This is not the worst beer I’ve ever had and that is the best thing I can say about it. A very pale pale lager

Bottle. Light gold, clear. Aroma is mild. Taste is skunky and it coats the mouth. Not a beer I’ll go back to.

2/12/12. 12oz bottle thanks to Brad! Clear copper pour with a small khaki head that’s gone fast. Plain aroma of green apples, caramel, and fusel alcohols. Slightly sweet caramel maltiness with a huge apple character. Blegh.

I drank this off tap, I was surprisingly pleased. But, I am not so sure if this can be agreed upon as a good example of a pilsner. It seems to be lacking in the hop department. It smells like malts, hay, and wild flower honey. Taste like thick sweet malts, with a tiny touch of hops. High carbonation! Clean, but sweet finish. This is clean, crisp and refreshing. At $1/bottle I expected this to be horrid, but it really is better than that. I would drink this on a hot summer day, or while watching a ball game.
