Pours chestnut in color from the bottle. A creamy head forms which subsides but lingers as whispy lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste is bitter dark chocolate up front and transitions directly into a strong sourness that carries into and dominates the swill. Despite the occassional floral note the hops do not quite persuade. The necessary bitterness is there but makes a stale almost acrid impression. Despite a promising start this one fails to develop beyond average.

0,5 l long neck bottle with the new clear label art design. A dark red brown with a light tanned head in the glass. Malty nose as expected. Taste starts very roasty malty, some sourness and hop bitterness in the background. Barrelwood in the aftertaste. Like a failed dark IPA. Strange.

Thanks to erzengel for this bottle! Pours a medium brown color with some haze and a team had. The smell is brown sugar, roasted malt, bread. The taste is brown sugar, roasted malt, bad, fruit ending dry and roasty. Light+ in body with fine carbonation. A nice dunkel.

1l bottle from the brewery. The beer starts malty-smooth. Not too sweetish, nice bittered. Earthy, hints of roast. Nice bitter-dark malty aftertaste, very dry there. Roasted dark bread, still easy to drink due to remaining hints of sweetness. Round and nice!

1 l bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours out in a deep dark brown colour with low creamy head and medium body. Aroma of acid and malt. Taste of malt, dark roasted barley, nuts, dark cherries, sourness and citrus. Quite malty-sour finish. Light and small body and character are to be found - not really a nice beer and long not as nice as expected after having some great beers of this brewery.
