nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Oct 1, 2009 GABF 2009. Slightly hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is banana, wheat, yeast. Flavor is the same with some grain and citrus. Crisp and refreshing with light body. Overall not too impressive. gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Clear (unusual) light yellow pour with a thin wispy white head, light citrusy nose, medium balanced flavor with some grapefruit and citrusy hops, uncharacteristic but still good! BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 30, 2008 I agree with others, basically the same beers three times, one has fruit, one is filtered and this one is unfiltered. This has a more present yeastiness, light banana notes, some lemony citrus and a grainy cereal maltiness. Refreshing but not complex by any stretch. skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 12, 2008 Alright...its like the samer beer three times, but this one takes the cake. A nice hazed golden color with decent retention. Very wheaty body that’s not thick, and has a very citrusy wheat mouthfeel. The wheat is present for sure. Nice bittered hops towards the end as well. Best of the 3 wheat beers they offer. tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA May 5, 2008 On draft at the 2008 Parkville Microbrewers Festival. Pours hazed yellow with a white head. Light citrus aroma. Wheaty and light citrus flavor. Light body. Spritzy carbonation. Dry finish. Refreshing, but lacking any real character. PhillyBeer2112 (2084), Orange Park, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2007 Nice looking, with a pale whitish yellow cloudy appearance, foamy head. Wheaty and lightly citrusy, but unfortunately a tad bland, leading into a hoppy finish. Not too shabby palate - there is some body here. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2006 Hazy golden yellow coloring, fruity aroma, with some tangy lemon acidity. A rich malt profile, that is slightly bittersweet, but also kind of husky, and a bit of sweaty spices. Tastes very clean and refreshing on this very hot Kansas day. mj (4971), Colorado, USA Oct 3, 2005 Cloudy and semi-light yellow - translucent but no opaque. Lightly spicy and sweet lemons abound in the nose - sweeter and less spicy than the German hefeweizen. Sour lemons and a grassy flavor are present, thinner and not as complex as the German counterpart offered at the brewery, but still very fresh tasting and enjoyable.
