Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Clear (unusual) light yellow pour with a thin wispy white head, light citrusy nose, medium balanced flavor with some grapefruit and citrusy hops, uncharacteristic but still good!

Slightly hazy with a nice orange hue and a sudsy head. Soft palate. Chewy wheat; yeasty. Nice and zingy hops had some tasty flavors. Subtle fruit. Moderate bitterness; balanced. Decent beer, though not overly exciting.

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub in August 2009. Pours a hazy yellow color with a white head that starts at about two fingers but recedes quite quickly with minimal lace left behind. The aroma is fairly faint wheat with a light amount of orange and lemon. The taste is almost entirely grainy wheat with just a tiny bit of citrus. Light and crisp. Pretty plain, though nothing is actually wrong with it, brewing wise. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 11-12-2010

On tap @ Liquid Bread. Appearance is a hazy, whitish yellow appearance that really looks like a Belgian Witbier. Citrusy, light yeasty, wheat ale nose. Slightly bitter, crisp, wheat flavor with a touch of fruitiness. Slightly bitter aftertase. This should NOT be classified as a German Hefeweizen, though I’m guessing it was because it’s unfiltered. There are plenty of unfiltered wheat ale.

Tap at Lb. Pours hazy straw yellow with a small, fizzy white head, low retention and flat lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), light hops (citrus), and light esters (banana). Flavor is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), light hops (citrus), and average esters (banana). Light body, low warmth and creaminess, high carbonation and a dry finish.

From the sampler tray: Hazy very pale straw color, MILD banana and citrus aroma. The carbonation is fairly light. Finishes slightly dry and bitter.

Approximately 4 oz sample at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Pour is a cloudy yellow greenish, with not much of a head. The aroma is soft wheat, along with a bit of clove yeast - nice soft and delicate nose. Taste is unfiltered, wheat, clove yeast than a decent blast of diacetyl - there is less of it here than in the American Wheat, but still quite detracting. Palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation, with the diacetly artificial sweet finish.

GABF 2009. Slightly hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma is banana, wheat, yeast. Flavor is the same with some grain and citrus. Crisp and refreshing with light body. Overall not too impressive.

I agree with others, basically the same beers three times, one has fruit, one is filtered and this one is unfiltered. This has a more present yeastiness, light banana notes, some lemony citrus and a grainy cereal maltiness. Refreshing but not complex by any stretch.
