Nice color, grass and citrus aroma. Nice white head didn’t last long (but the growler was a few days old). Nice flavor that’s perfectly piney.

Gift from Craig. A tasty IPA. Good color of rolling oat and light browns. White head that did not last long....but most likely due to the Growler being a few days old. Aroma of grass and citrus. Flavor that was tight and piney. Good beer from way West Kansas. Thanks Craig!

Sampler @ brewpub. Clear copper color with a sticky lacing. Head never fully fades. Aroma is light sweet fruit punch hops. Taste is a mish mash of sticky sweet hops and sweet malts. Some bitterness mixed up in there as well.. Its fine as a standard IPA goes.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Clear, amber pour with a thick off white head, balanced flavor especially for an IPA, pear, maple syrup and rosiness, very good but a bit unusual for the style!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 30, 2008
This is a really simple IPA that is on the lighter side. The hop nose smelles really fresh and lcean with some citrus and pine notes, light toffee maltiness with a bitter resiny finish that ligners for quite a while. Decent and drinkable.

Being a NW trooper, IPA’s have a lot to stand up to. We have here a light golden brown color, not much retention. Sweet flowery aroma. Hop profile is definitely present over the malt, but not overbearing like I’m used to. VERY resiny...especially through the finish...which is nice. Enjoyable...but could use a bit of OOMPH.

On tap at the Parkville Microbrew Festival. Loved this beer as well. Pours amber with an off-white head of solid stature. Superb citrus grapefruit hop aroma and flavor. Fresh hop grassyness throughout. Long tongue-blanching bitterness resides long after the beer has travelled down your gullet.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tjthresh (1850) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - APR 29, 2007
Sample at the Parkville Microbrewers Festival. Clear amber with a dirty white head. Biscuit, herbs and plenty of esters in the aroma. Good and malty, with assertive bitterness. Very dry.

Very nice. It was a seasonal but the server told me that it was popular enough to make it part of the regular line up. Featured a nice piney hop aroma to start. Flavor was light, was a mild resiny hop. Malts were light but sweet and bready. Finish only mildly bitter. Faded copper color with nice lacing.

On Tap at Gella’s, Hays, KS. Fairly nice aroma with grapefruit, grass, and bready malt; moderate body that is fairly sweet and entirely underbittered, but fairly tasty. Clean, citric hoppiness and doughy maltiness. More like a pale ale to me.
