3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 urge13 (17) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - OCT 10, 2011Lager glass out of growler. Clear bright yellow with little head. Crisp refreshing lemon soda flavor. Sharp on the tongue with little hop presence. A great summer treat good for a hot day of mowing the lawn. Not my favorite type of beer but pretty good.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes a cloudy light gold with a small white head. Aroma of lemons and malt. Taste is pure lemon. Just too much of one thing for me.

On tap @ Liquid Bread. Hazy whitish yellow appearance that appears somewhat "pulpy". Big lemonade aroma. Quite citrusy, lemony flavor that’s actually pretty refreshing. Citric acidic finish. I could see myself chugging one of these on a hot summer day but probably not otherwise.

Tap at Lb. Pours hazy yellow with a spare, fizzy white head, low retention and flat lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), light hops (citrus), and light esters (fruity) with notes of lemon. Flavor is average malt (hay, straw), light hops (citrus), and light esters (fruity) with loads of lemon. Light body, low warmth and creaminess, medium carbonation and a medium dry finish.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Cloudy, light yellow with a bubbly white head, this tastes exactly like a shandy, intensely tart but really not my style.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BlackDonald (1127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUL 30, 2008
Tart lemonade nose, citrusy with hints of light spice. Tastes lightly wheaty, but other than the citrus there is nothing to this beer, which I hesitate in calling in that as their is not much to this resembling beer. Almost malternative.

Pours cloudy yellow (very saturated, almost glowing yellow) with a white head. The aroma is of a lemon flavored wine cooler or similar - some sweetness, not much malts or hops, and some lemon. The flavor is predominantly lemonade like - with hints of honey and ginger. The strong beer flavors present are from the wheat - no hops, no complex malts - just wheat. Perhaps it would be palatable as a lawn-mowing beer - but if I really wanted something like this, I’d just spike some lemonade...
