Looks OK in the glass, bright golden color, well carbonated and decent head formation. Noticeably sweet on the nose and tastes very sweet too. Cardboard lieke dryness in the finish spoils and sours a little but remains sweet and even sugarry in the aftertaste. Pretty much run of the mill lager

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange with a white head. Aroma of caramel malt and floral hops. Flavor of simple caramel malt, pale malt, floral hops, only a hint of citrus with bitter hops finish. Sweet, pretty good overall.

Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub in August 2009.
Pours a moderate golden-copper color with a two-finger white head. Not too much retention followed by just a bit of lacing. The nose brings some pale malt as well as a light dosing of citrus hops. The C-hops are quite faint in the flavor, but they’re certainly there. A bit of bread as well. The feel is fairly light but has a tiny amount of bitterness lurking. Drinks fairly well. Well made, but could use something else, either more hops or a more complex backing malt.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2011 On tap @ Liquid Bread. Transparent, light yellow body with a small head. Weak nose with some light hops with some pale malts. Pretty dull pale ale flavo that has a non-hoppy bitterness though there is a slight hoppy flavor and generally pretty malty. Somewhat bitter aftertaste.

Approximately 4 oz sample at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Pour is clear gold, light orange with not too much of a head (it is a sampler, after all). Aroma has light mineral, along with a touch of citrus. Taste starts with the grainy malt, transitions quickly to resin hops and a nice earthy element. As it warms, nice amount of mineral along with some citrus pine. Palate is medium bodied with nice active carbonation. Nice.

Sampler at brewpup. Pours a clear golden body with a thin, white head that leaves a light ring of lacing. Aroma is big and full of caramels with a noticeable, but soft amount of fresh citrus hops. Flavor is pretty nice for a simple pale ale. Lots of toffee malts and a small amount of earthy, citrus, sweet hops that lead into a somewhat dry finish and a nice lingering grassy bitterness. Palate is full and smooth. Overall, an easy drinking and quite enjoyable APA.
