gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Hazy, light yellow pour with no head of any kind, fruity nose with some apricot and blueberry, nice sweetness but light fruitiness, very nuanced flavor. Soft finish. Among the finest raspberry beers I’ve ever had. BlackDonald (1127), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 30, 2008 This actually had some nice fruit to it, tasted like real fruit as opposed to artifical extract flavors. Some cereal wheat maltiness. Light bodied and drinkable. skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 12, 2008 On tap at brewery. Pours a hazy dainty golden. Light head retention. Aroma is raspberry syrup kind of. As much as I can’t believe I’m saying this, this was much more enjoyable then their American Wheat...there is actually some wheaty body and flavor with this one. Real raspberries? Don’t know. jhumphries69 (717), Tyrone, Georgia, USA Nov 14, 2006 Updated: Mar 13, 2007Pours pale, clear yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is mostly raspberry. The flavor starts with raspberry with some astringency (hints of solvent-like alcohol flavors - maybe its just my brain’s reaction to the obviously fake raspberry - it probably came from real raspberries, but certainly not real fresh fruit, but rather an extract). There is some malt and wheat flavor present, also, but not much. It tastes like they added raspberry extract to their american wheat ale. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jul 28, 2006 This had kind of a kool-aid aroma to it, almost perfumey. Again, I am hardly ever impressed with fruit beers and this is no exception. Grainy and toasty cereal maltiness, with some syrupy sweet fruit flavors.
