Draft at the tasting room. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, resiny and herbal hops, lightly toasted malts, grass, light caramel. This opens good, but gets soft at the finish with ,mild bitterness.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with a thick creamy white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, grassy hops, garlicky hops. Flavor of lots of garlicky, spicy hops, earthy hops, crackery malt, a touch of citrus, with a spicy bitter finish. Really excellent IPAs 8/4/8/4/15 (3.9/5)

Tap sample - pours deep gold with white head and decent lacing. Pine nose. More cat urine and loads of pine with floral notes. Again, not that bitter for 70 IBUs. Goes down easy and refreshing.

Copper color and a fine almost nitro-ish white head. Aroma of cat pee, lavender and a bit of malt. Great flavor of galaxy hops. Well-balanced with a nice fruity finish

9/27/2013: Listermann Intergalactic IPA... Shiny copper-golden color; the hops are softer than whatís in the Beagle of the Corn and the bitterness seems lesser as well; thatís not to say that this beer is bad, but itís definitely different and less aggressive overall. The hoppiness is pretty floral and also includes some passion fruit, grass, soft fruits, and just a tinge of resin. However, the aroma is really off-putting to me since itís really kind of catty. That seems to dissipate a bit as the beer breates, but itís kind of overdone and just isnít my thing. Honestly, I need to give this beer another try though based on the other ratings and comments. I must just be missing something, but I know my palatte and preferences have definitely changes a lot over the years and this is not the only beer that my opinion has differed great only and interestingly enough, the other IPAs that I liked a lot less had a very similar hop profile... Draught at Listermann Brewing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Rating #6 for this beer.

Sample at the Listermann tasting room on 9/13/13. Pours clear amber with a thick beige head. Nose consisting of orange, malt and pine. Malty and piney flavor with a bitter grapefruit rind finish.

Draft sample. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy and tropical fruit aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Standout beer that I recommended to freinds.

Draft to taster at Listermann. Looks good; a mostly transparent orange with off-white lacing. Smells solid; juicy and citrus hops. Tastes like it smells withanice, smooth mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

Draft at Arnoldís. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma of florals, orange and lemon citrus, pale malts, and some pine and wet leaves. Flavor of pine, citrus peel, florals, leaves, pale and sweet malts, and maybe a squirt of lemon. Maybe even some tropical fruits. Light-medium bodied, with a moderately bitter mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Keeps getting better. Really nice IPA. Hope to see more of this.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2013 On tap at Dutchís.. Totally clear orange amber color. Thin off-white head. Leaves great webs of lace. Smooth, crisp lighter carbonation. Medium-plus body. Lightly dry finish. Very smooth and easy drinking. Awesome big tropical fruit flavor, pineapple, citrus, light spicy hop. Very awesome, big hop flavor, especially for the 6% abv. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, lighter sweet taste. Some very light caramel malt, light spicy malt, lightly toasty. Awesome, complex, flavorful galaxy showcase. 8/4/7/4/16

Re-rate, 9/3/2013: After trying this several more times after the initial tasting, I have to up this another point. The hop flavor is just too good. Resiny, tropical fruit, light spicy hop. Great balance of moderate to stronger bitter and light sweet, with a long hoppy aftertaste. Outstanding stuff. Iím glad this isnít a part of their one-and-done Beagle series, because I look forward to enjoying this many more times in the future
