Pours black with a medium mocha head...nice ring of lacing. Aroma is dominated by nice nutty, peanut buttery goodness accented by a touch of roastiness. Flavor is roasty with notes of dark fruit, coffee, and nuttiness...accented with peanut butter but not nearly as much as the aroma. Mouthfeel is light...a bit thin and the finish is bold roastiness and hints at peanut butter.

Draft at the tasting room. Pours dark brown in color with a small beige head. The aroma has roasted malts, chocolate and peanut butter with a moderate sweetness. The flavor has a nice blend of peanut butter, chocolate and roast with some earthy bitterness to the finish. Maybe a touch thin body wise, but good flavor. They mentioned using more peanut butter in new batches.

Draft at Bockfest: oh my god... this is delicious! It’s roasty...but with a solid peanut aroma. Captain crunch peanut butter, or reese’s cups.... wonderful beer. I could drink waaaay too much of this if I wasn’t careful. Awesome!

On tap at the ’13 Cincy Beerfest. Dark beer with a thin beige head. Nose of Reece’s peanut butter cups. Sweet beer with roasted grains, toffee, peanut brittle, some chocolate and coffee grounds bitterness in the finish. Fascinating beer.

Bullet growler brought back by a friend. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Malty and peanutty nose with some chocolate and roast. Malty flavor with dry roasted peanut character before a roasty finish.

Sample on tap at Listermann’s End of the World Party. Awesome peanut butter porter nose, wow. Smells delicious. Very much like Willoughby’s. Dark body, good tan head, good lace. Smooth lighter carbonation, dry texture, kind of a lighter body. Good mild sweet taste, rich but not too rich. Nice nutty savoriness to balance it out. Though the body could use a bit of bolstering, the aroma is amazing. Gotta love peanut butter porters.

Draft to taster at Listermann. Looks good; brownish-black with foamy light beige head. Smells good; peanut butter and dark malt. Tastes like it smells, but I wish it was a little more viscous/higher in abv to balance it out a little better. Average on the palate. Enjoyable.

Sample from a plastic growler courtesy of Rogueone, under the Triple Digit label. The beer pours dark brown with a medium tan head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted nuts and malt. Light-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of peanut butter, chocolate and malt. The finish is sweet with a lingering roasted nutty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap. Poured clear dark brown color with an average brown fizzy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted malt and roasted peanuts aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium dark peanut sweet flavor with medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex beer that would go well with a good after dinner cigar.
