0.5 L can, as Litovel Dark. Thanks Rune, for this one! A low coarse big bubbled beige head, upon a translucent, ruby shaded, dark brown body. A whiff of sour dark bread up front, set off by some coffee-scented dark malts and hint of metal. Feels quite full, despite the 3.8% abv. Fairly dry dark malts in the flavor. Mild roasty, light coffe tones, and touch of dark bread and burnt caramel. Carefully hopped. Light watered down, mild roasty malt finish.

0,5l Litovel Tmave - Dunkel Lager. Pours dark brownish clear, with beige head. Aromas are sweet malts, grains some caramel. Taste is little watery with sweetness and malts and finishes in a short dry mild bitterness. Quite drinkable. This beer made my choucroute very delicious.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2015 Can @ home 22/12/12. Looks like cola: The liquid is the color of cola while the head is soda-like, large-bubbled, dark beige and dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma is malt breadiness, light grass, some herbs. Taste is much of the same, stronger on the herbal tones. Pretty alright quaffer. Not sweet, bit dry, which is good. Palate is light and carbonated. Not watery. Alright. Sampled the leftovers, most of the can went into a meat stew.

Tap @ Kaisla. Helsinki 10/12/11. Pours dark brown. Aroma is malts, tones of coffee and roastedness. Taste is rather dry as far as dunkels go. Palate is a bit watery.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2015 Re-rating 27.6.2015: Drunk from can. Smell of roasted malt. Aroma of roasted malt, some plastic. Finishes with a faint of sugar. Very lively carbon, rather light body. Very sweet. Works quite nicely.

Slight cola, brown sugar and smoke/woodiness in the aroma. Wonderful, creamy head (on tap at Piwoteka Narodowa), very dark, looks great with a great silky smooth body. Moderate sweetness, almost zero bitterness. Good and easy to drink.

On tap in Červenka in a pub near railway station. Black water with no underground stories (so to speak), not a bejeweled beer - but definitely a honest beer - like the region it is brewed in.

Much better than Litovel Classic. Regular Czech dunkel. A bit too sweet but quite good anyway.
