4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
My probably most favourite dark beer, tried it for the first time about 10 years ago, and was pleasantly surprised by its caramel/malt/wort flavour. Very flowery, sweet aroma, and sort of ivory coloured head. Best with some of the Czech dumplings, sourkraut and roast pork, or, as Rune suggests, with a goulash. Very interesting combined halved with a lighter beer. Overall very drinkable beer, although I would not have more than two on an evening :o).

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Excellent tmave - didn’t taste like a sub-4 percenter to me. Very full, pruney and chocolatey malt flavours + a nice buttery mouthfeel. Perhaps a bit on the sweet side - works well in a blackntan with the dvanactka.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark reddish brown color, big tanned and foamy head. Sweet, caramel-malty aroma. Sweet, caramel-malty flavor with a dry, burned-malt finish with hints of dark chocolate. Pretty full-bodied, creamy and buttery, very sticky palate (because of the sugar, I guess). Well-balanced, soft carbonation. A very nice and quite complex czech dunkel. Makes a good, sweet dessert.

The taste should be stronger. Otherwise terrific.
