I asked, but couldn’t get a definitive answer on the style. It seemed like a dubbel to me. Drank from a growler after filling up at the brewpub. The color was dark brown and amber with a slightly yellowish head. The aroma was sweet caramel with some apples. The taste had some dark bitter tea and toffee. I could not taste any fruit. There was also some off paper taste that I also had in their stout.
