Sampler at the brewpub. Comes dark brown with a small biege head. Aroma of roast and chocolate. Taste is roast, chocolate, and some coffee. Smooth and easy to drink.

Pours dark brown with of white head. Smells of sweet roasted grain. Taste is big on chocolate, a little coffee, heartier roast than it looks. Kind of a robust porter ish brown. Not bad but bland finish.

Dark brown with a thin white head when poured. Sweet taste with a bitter after taste. Not impressed at all.

Sampled at the 2009 Parkville microbrew festival. Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Has a nice chocolate aroma and a big coffee roasted flavor. This is flavorful enough to be a lesser brewer’s porter.

Loved this beer off tap at the Little Apple Brew Pub. Almost no head, very dark, smooth, not sweet, but with tons of roasted grain, like darkly browned whole wheat bread, smooth and easy to drink, no crimes on the finish. Very enjoyable.

4 oz taster at the brewpub. Pour is brown ruby with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of faint nuttiness and some malt. Taste is thin, watery, featuring some nuttiness and not much else. Meh.

On tap, poured a very nice dark color, foam is sorta a off white color a little lacing can taste the some choclate very easy drinking.

on tap. poured a dark whiskey color. no initial smell. taste if clover, caramel and vanilla with a hint of chocolate. smooth finish.
