3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at the 2009 Parkville microbrew festival. Pours orange amber with a thin white head. Nice. Uses kent goldings and fuggles hops and plenty of them at 63 IBUs. The perfect balance of chocolate and citrus in this beer frames the maltiness to the end.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The body was dark gold with a frothy slightly khaki head. The aroma was fresh caramel along with some leaves and apples. The smooth body was complemented with some subtle flavors. There was grapefruit and some breadcrust. There was also some toffee and buttery shortbread cookies once you started drinking. Definitely on the hoppy side for a bitter, but nicely done.
