A refreshing American style ale and oh so enjoyable on a hot Kansas summer day! Our most popular brew, we recommend this for those beginning to venture into the world of hand-crafted ales. Winter wheat malt is used to create a wonderful mild body with a hint of sweetness, and balanced with a dash of American hops. This beer is doubly refreshing when served with a lemon slice. Sampler at the brewpub. Clear, dull pale golden color. Light diacetyl with tartness. Flavor thankfully is missing the diacetyl and is mostly a tart and mineral watery beer.

Sampled at the 2009 Parkville microbrew festival. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. This is an ok beer but nothing special. Itís very easy to drink. A very flavorless beer for the masses.

Tap at Midwest Brewfest.
Pours average yellow with an aroma of garbage disposal refuse. Flavor is corn garbage. Watery mouthfeel. This beer sucks.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a pale yellow with a thin, white head. The nose is easily the best/worst example of a diacetyl bomb Iíve ever sampled. This smells exactly like the nasty butter flavored goo they put on movie theater and microwave popcorn. The mouthfeel is soft and wheaty, but the lingering, funky, buttery finish ruins what would otherwise be a decent mouthfeel. The flavor...an off, almost rancid, butterscotch with a mildly sour wheat attempting to peak through in the background. Does the brewer here not sample his/her beers before clearing them for public consumption? Perhaps theyíre just counting on the ignorance &/or absence of olfactory and gustatory senses among their patrons? Iím sure that no brewpub enjoys throwing out a bad batch, but this is something that could possibly have been remedied by a simple diacetyl rest. Frankly, the fact that they served this to us and then seemed unconcerned that it was a bad batch is a bit telling. Hey, at least their food was good.
