3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma has lots of grapefruit notes, some orange, slight metal note. Very cloudy looking. Taste has the citrus flavours from the hops but balanced by a solid malt backbone. Slightly dank. Good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy copper with a nice white head thatís frothy. Aroma is sweet and fruity like lychee. Taste is malty and fruity like lychee. Tastes like a lychee pale ale. Good because I like lychees. Clean and refreshing but its a little foamy on the palate. The lasting white head is nice until the end.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Clear dark orangey golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Hoppy aroma with cautious hints of resin and pine, caramel malty background. Taste is dry hoppy, a touch of grass and hay, minimally fruity, hints of orange and citrus. Clean, fully integrated, but slightly narrow and unexciting.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle.
Pours a slightly cloudy yellow colour with a lacy white head. Aroma of honey, sweet exotic fruits and some floral notes. Flavour of floral hops, grass, honey, weak grapefruit, caramel and smooth maltiness. Medium bodied, smooth mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Maybe even a bit too smooth and doesnít have a hop bite - at least not anymore. Still good.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A classic American style pale ale with a lingering bitter after-taste. Refreshing despite a prominent alcohol taste and intense hopping.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed 1/29/13. Thanks to Momar42 for the bottle! 330 mL bottle into a nonic pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy golden color with a lot of vibrant-looking carbonation. The head isnít terribly impressive; itís a one finger eggshell color that fades fairly quickly. The lacing is good, though.
S: Iím noticing that it blends both English and American sensibilities toward the style - this definitely doesnít seem like another SNPA clone (not like thatís a bad thing). The malt profile seems to be very toffee forward, with strong tones of earth, caramel, and biscuit. Thereís also an underlying quality of Cascade hops, providing grapefruit peel, pine, and black pepper.
T: Thereís a nice balance of hop/malt interplay here. Hops donít seem evident on the first sip, but after another swig, they provide a light grapefruit finish thatís quite pleasant. Otherwise, itís mildly sweet with its malt profile, especially in the middle of the palate. I wonít call it a standout, but its delicate balance still manages to set it a notch above many pales.
M: The carbonation could really be toned down slightly to help the soft texture of the malts shine through more clearly. On the plus side, it helps lighten up the initially thick body. It has an almost ínectaryí feel provided by the combination of malty sweetness and subtle hop resin.
O: This really is the kind of offering that could single handedly change the perception of Australian beer around the world. The bottle conditioning and great malt backbone means I wouldnít have many reservations if I ever found this in a local shop a few months old, though I wouldnít make it my first choice to seek out. 3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The best of the main Little Creatures beers for mine. Strong resiny hops, grapefruit, oranges, and hay. Some sweetness, and a decent finish. Looking forward to the brewery in Geelong opening.
