Bhops (200), Dallas, Texas, USA Mar 5, 2008 Updated: Apr 15, 2008 Draught at the Australian Hotel in Sydney. Best pale ale I’ve had.... or maybe it just shown against the other crap Aussie beers I’d sampled up to that point. Nice, crisp and hoppy enough to match the chorizo and salami pizza I was eating.
Walter_Smidge (1), Sydney, Australia does not count Aug 17, 2008 This is probably one of the best beers i have tasted, Dark and cloudy with a strong lasty head.
The Flavors in this beer are complex and work well together, it has a nice mouthfeel and a good after taste. I was in heaven when i got to taste this beer at the brewery in perth and then again recently at the beerhouse in Melbourne... A fine Ale not to be taken for granted SaintMatty (485), Tallinn, Estonia Aug 8, 2008 330ml Bottle - Amber in colour with a slight haze and a foamy head. Grassy hop aroma with a lemon and grapefruiit hint. Lightly hoppy taste with grapefruit and a dry malt and hop balance. A splendid and not easily characterized ale - plenty of hops by local standards but of course nothing like a West-Coast (US) IPA. But what really brings this one out is a superb malt profile mingling with the hops in an delightful pepperiness, textured cracker flavors, plain and simple one heck of a beautifully crafted, interesting, and yet entirely drinkable ale. Hands down the best beer I had on my Australia trip. thedonutboy (5), Singapore does not count Aug 4, 2008 Excellent tasting, really nice and smooth, with very pleasant aftertaste! Eriatark (3), , Australia does not count Jul 29, 2008 Very easy going but still plenty of flavour. Citrus is dominant on the palate, but with a mildly malty undertone. Not usually a fan of pale ales, but this one doesn’t disappoint.
