Bottle. Extremely pale golden pour with a fizzy white head that disappears straight away. Aroma is vinous, yeasty and a little musty with a hint of underlying sweetness. Flavour is a lot like the aroma and also quite champagne-like with equal hints of sweet and sour. Mouthfeel is light and dry with lively carbonation and a sweet finish that lingers a bit. Not the most interesting or refined cider but nice and quite easy to drink.

33cl bottle. It pours a clear light yellow colour with no head and some carbonation. Light apple aroma, pours a spritzy looking pale chardonnay body. Dry body, spritzy carbonation, slight acid to it. Crisp apple skin flavour, bit of ripe pear and spice, a bit vinous. Overall, decent but not complex at all.

Dumb cider for the mass market. Nothing inherently wrong with execution, but it’s so bland, so safe, it may well be the next Hollywood blockbuster or, closer to home, the next cab off the rank from the Majors. Soft everything, a touch dry, some sweetness - any more bland adjectives I can add?

This cider has a very obvious citrus and Apple aromas. It is a sparkling light yellow liquid with little head. Quite a mellow flavour with medium sweetness, equal parts sourness and no bitterness. Light bodied with a slick texture and quite lively. Overall it was easy to drink, but a bit watery. I prefer a more dry cider and this had a sweetness that didn’t go well with savoury food. It’s on tap but has never been the same since production was moved away from Fremantle.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear pale yellow with a smallish rough white head. Tart and fresh apple aroma. Medium body, a fresh and initial apple sweetness with a little vanilla. And then balanced by subtle acids making a very drinkable Cider. 030412
