2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Ordinary - unexciting - as usual, these hybrid styles donít work for me - lots of sweet malt - fruity aftertaste - disjointed. Come on guys... Just stick to amping up a traditional recipe instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. LCs limited releases have utterly lost their way up shit creek.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pint bottle into pint glass. Distant nose, spicy hops on the horizon? Copper beer with tiny off white head, bubbles on the side of the glass. Nice medium body, a bit spritzy. Toasted malt finish. Itís like a good English bitter, nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Beer Cartel (April 2014). Hazy copper/brown, frothy off-white head, candy sugar, biscuity malt, cinnamon, banana, earthy hops, sweet malt with nice Belgian characters, silky texture, medium body. Interesting combination.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Brewski April 2014. The best single batch offering for a long time. Fills the mouth with a creamy smooth texture and big explosion of flavour.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A mish mash beer... that sort of works? Thereís traces of different beers in there. Biscuity malty flavours of an English bitter, earthy hop flavours, and then a banana-yeast aroma from the Belgian yeast. Very cloudy brown pour with a beige dissipating head. It wasnít a favourite of mine, but it did taste okay as a one-off.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - pours dark orange with nice off white head. Lots of caramel on the aroma with some spice and a hint of something soapy. Taste is bit disappointing, not a lot up front then a bit a slight bitterness at the end. Palate is thin.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark golden with a fluffy off white head. Nose is caramelised sugar, some banana. Flavor is more caramelised sugar, banana, some citrus (mild), and interestingly I get a little mochi flavor in there, a japanese rice paste dessert. Seems like perhaps itís slightly past itís prime. Not bad. Medium body, slightly fizzy.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a 568ml bottle on 10/6/2014. Pours a dark golden with a smallish head. Has a perhaps slightly stale fruity aroma with the touch of yeast at the back. The flavour features some sweet and sour citrus fruit up front (lemon, lime, mandarin, grapefruit), followed by some spicy Belgian yeast notes, and finishes off with a moderate dry bitterness. Has a medium to full body and slightly above average carbonation. While a long way from hitting the bullseye, Iíll give props to LC for producing something quite unusual and relatively interesting. Certainly much better than the current score would suggest in my humble opinion.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Just on cool and into a snifter. Hazy copper hued orange with no visible life. A short-lived wash of white atop. Supple notes of papaya, guava and lychee on the nose. A little lemon peel infused in honey springs to mind also - quite pleasant. Quite woody, nutty, raw and dominated by an unending taste of pine-nuts - I donít like pine-nuts. As it warms it is like chewing on toothpicks. Need to swill some water between sips. Body is good and it does feel good upon the palate. A juicy, tangy, tongue twisting tropical fruit flavour builds as it warms further. Carbonation low. Drawn, dry, parching swallow. Oh, so, so long with the pine nuts. Not my cup of tea! 2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
1 pint bottle. Pours a hazy deep gold, with a small off-white head, which lasts fairly well and leaves a little lacing. Biscuit malt, floral Goldings notes and an odd, twiggy phenolic note make up the aroma. Mild floral and spice hops up front give way to a strange, crisp Pink Lady apple flavour in the mid-palate. Biscuit malt comes into the finish, but the odd apple flavour lingers in the aftertaste. This is not one of Little Creaturesí better efforts, to be honest. I canít really pick any trace of dubbel: to me it just tastes like a bitter, only with that odd apple flavour, which upsets the balance of the whole affair. Pretty missable.
