A raspberry wheat beer that has whole raspberries from my Dad’s allotment added during secondary fermentation.
A rosy coloured beer that is a masterpiece in balance, deceptively combining sweet raspberry aromatics with firm bitter taste. Light, fresh, with racy, thirst-quenching acidity.

Aroma is heavy on the raspberries though they come through though less strongly in the taste. Taste is missing something for me, a bit sour and watery in the middle. Maybe I should be drinking it in the summer?

Pale red fruit beer with a light raspberry aroma, light carbonated raspberry flavour, weak watery finish. This is far too weak for its strength.

33cl fancy bottle split at The Rake, London. It pours a hazy amber/ruby color with a small tan head. Aroma is grainy, bready, fruity, with notes of raspberry jam and tart red currants. Taste is crispy and fruity, lightly sweet and perfumy, with notes of roses, raspberries, tart cherries, wheat and hay. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, probably the best Little Beer tried so far, as it’s not much sweeter than style guidelines

Cask at the EUSC, Egham, 19/12/14. Hazed reddish amber with a moderate off white/light crimson covering that retains well. Nose is straw, raspberry sorbet, bitter red berries, light bread dough. Taste comprises tangy raspberries, perfumed notes, pink berry, straw, light bread notes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a little bitterness to the berry notes tempering a sweet undercoat. Ok for style.

Cloudy amber colour with an off white head. Quite dry tasting with a little fruit. A little wheaty and quite smooth.

Bottle from the Hog’s Back brewery shop. Slightly hazy amber with an off white head. Tart raspberry flavours initially before lightly metallic citrus hops flavour. A little marmalade too. A touch acidic. Light and refreshing. OK.

Bottled 04/02/14. A pinky hued light red coloured beer with a whitish head. Nice acidity in the nose at first. Pleasant raspberries in the mouth with, again, a little acidity. Wheaty notes. Good flavours. An enjoyable proper fruit beer.
