50cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy amber-red color, full sized beige head that lasts for a decent while and leaves good lacing. Don’t get much smoke in the aroma, but the flavor clearly has some smoke in it. Also taste some fruits, and lightly bitter. Not bad.

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy copper brown with a medium, creamy beige head. Smells hops, paint. Not a lot of smell. Tastes smoked, wood, slightly salty, sweet, malts, slightly caramel. Thin to medium body, very soft carbo.

Bottle shared. Pours clear amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, smoke, peat, herbs and a little dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Wandsworth Common Spring BF, London. Pours clear, red-gold with a fine, foamy head. Light caramel, smokey peat and ham in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with cured honey ham, smoked peat, wood. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lasting smokey peat on the finish with yet more cured ham, light honey and caramel. Very nice beer. One of the better British-made ’smoked’ beers I’ve had.

[ Vintage BBF 0307 ]. Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, toasted, oxidide. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, strawberry sweet, malty, oxidide. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]
