Another good brew from live oak.Nice amber copper hue. Head dissipates into nothing quickly. Smells of bourbon, wet hay and vanilla. Also notes of caramel. Although it doesn’t look or really smell like much this beer is very drinkable.

Light amber with minimal head. Light yeast and spice aroma. Thin. A slight hint of cinnamon and lemon. Not a fan.

I was not impressed with this beer. It had a metallic taste to it that threw everything else off. Not much flavor here for an amber beer.

Very complex flavors going on here. Quite malty with some sweetness coming through from that, but also tastes a bit like port. There is definitely a fruit wine taste as well. Very enjoyable and original.

Draft at Hole in the Wall. Flavor is very hoppy for an amber beer. Good but not great.

Nice amber color and an off white head. Aroma is pretty subdued, but its kinda citrucy. A bit sweet and candyish with some toasted malt and some herbalness. Mouthfeel is smooth and easily drinkable. Not bad at all.

Very good beer I thought. Nice flavor but could have used a little more kick.

Tried this beer on tap at The Flying Saucer in Addison, TX. Floral hop notes in the aroma and light citrus notes in the flavor.

Sweet oak aroma some orange zest, and smoked malts. Pours a dark orange/amber brown, thin soapy head. Oak, pine, tiny bit of hickory and toasted malts in the finish. Palate is smooth but a bit bland in the finish. Meh.

I’ve been hearing about Live Oak for two years. Finally had one and was somewhat disappointed. I don’t know if the hype ruined it.
Not a bad beer though. A lot like Spaten IMHO.
