On tap at the Flying Saucer, San Antonio. Pours with a golden/straw color, aroma of wheat and bananas leap from the glass. This thing has a rich wheat base, which I like with just the right amount of banana and a hint of bubblegum. Lots of cloves as well and even a mild hop kick. Rich and thick, yet still clean and refreshing. Probably the best hefe I’ve had.

Pours a beautiful hazy gold into the glass with a nice white head. Aroma is wonderfully yeasty. Flavor is superb, by far the best Live Oak I’ve had

Out of a growler sent by lb4lb as a great bonus treat. Hazy yellow gold color with a big, fluffy white head that left some lacing on the glass. Sharp clove and banana nose. Very traditional German Hefeweizen. Flavorful with lots of banana, clove spice, home made bread and some lemon. Realy nice beer. Much thanks to Deniz for a chance to try this example of one of my favorite styles.

This is quite simply the best American beer I have ever had. Pure liquid joy. I had it on-tap at the Flying Saucer in Houston. Now I need to figure out how to get a growler....
