COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With about 6.0% ABV, this one will surely warm the olí gullet during a cold central Texas winter - both days! Our India Pale Ale (IPA) is light in color and strong in hop character. Dry hopping with Cascade hops, gives this winter favorite a delicious citrus note reminiscent of a Texas Ruby Red. Yes, itís warming but you donít need to be huddled around the furnace to enjoy this one! IPA fans really love this ale during a beautiful Texas winter on the porch or indoors. Available December - April.

Draft. Pretty clear, dark golden-amber with a frothy off white head. Aroma, a little faint for the style, of pine, caramel, citrus and bread. The taste is malty with a nice moderate bitterness. Medium bodied. Somewhat mild, but a more than acceptable IPA.

On tap at the Highball in Austin. Out of season, apparently. Amber pour with a small white head. Aroma is a little citrus, grain, and a little bread. Taste is earthy, bitter, a faint amount of fruit, and a little grass.

On tap - Vickery Park in Plano. Deep golden orange color with a decent amount of white head. Smells delicious - lots of citrus hops with some pine and bready malt as well. Slightly sweet flavor with a malt backbone that keeps the bitterness at bay. One of my favorite Texas brewed IPAs.

On tap. Pours a deep, clear gold with white head. Aroma of malt and pine. Flavor is lightly sweet and similar to aroma. Mouth feel is medium body with high carbonation. Overall, good stuff!

Draft at Flying Saucer/Addison. Amber brew with an inviting visual. Super hoppy with a sharp metallic bite at the finish. Doesnít seem as well balanced as it could be, unfortunately, Iím sure thereís a pile of quality ingredients in this ... (#4038, 12/14/2010)

Tap at Ginger Man Austin. Clear to hazy golden pour. Slight white head. Aroma of soft hops. Gentle floral notes that touch on lighter senses. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is easy-drinking hops with light citrus hops. Lemony flavor. Finishes slightly watery with some bitterness. Not too bad.

This beer pours a cloudy dull yellow with a thin white head. The aromas are citrus, pine and bread. The mouthfeel is bitter and watery. This is a good beer. Nice representation of the style. Cheers1

(draught at Flying Saucer on the Lake) medium copper-orange, lasting creamy head and good lacing. Nose of oranges, yeast, pine and grapefruit. Taste of oranges, nice malty backbone, cream, honey, melon, light bitterness with a medium body that is VERY creamy. A really nice IPA!
