COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
With about 6.0% ABV, this one will surely warm the olí gullet during a cold central Texas winter - both days! Our India Pale Ale (IPA) is light in color and strong in hop character. Dry hopping with Cascade hops, gives this winter favorite a delicious citrus note reminiscent of a Texas Ruby Red. Yes, itís warming but you donít need to be huddled around the furnace to enjoy this one! IPA fans really love this ale during a beautiful Texas winter on the porch or indoors. Available December - April.

Mostly clear orange copper pour. Medium white head with good lacing. Lots of citrus in the aroma. Some floral notes to it too. Flavor is also heavy with grapefruit and other citrus flavors. Mild malt caramel sweetness. Clean finish. Not very bitter or dry. ---Rated via iPhone

On tap at Yard House Houston. A clear one, dark golden in color and with a finger thick, dense, off-white head. Some curtains. Mostly hoppy aroma, like dipping your nose into a bag of citrusy American hops. Some pale wort too. Itís almost full bodied, quite dry, and with a nice carbonation level. Bitter, hoppy flavor with some malty notes in the back. Lasting bitter finish. A pretty pleasant one, although tasting too much like wort, excluding the sweetness. 131112

Cask. Amber beer with a big cream head. Summer fruit and light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with light summer fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with light summer fruit.

Opaque, maple brown-gold; white head. Very nice, very fruity, pineapple-malt aroma with a good whack of hops. Mellow, buffred mineral tones over grapefruit rind. Lightly/medium sweet. Mouthy,. Mild but assertive bitter finish. Sedimented. On tap, Hay Merchant, Houston.

Draught at the Ginger Man, Austin, TX. Clear deep golden colour with a small white head. Sweetish exotic fruits, cookies, malt and mild bitterness in the aroma. The flavour is more bitter hoppy with pine and fruity notes. Caramel sweetness and malt in there too. Pretty decent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of hoppy citrus. Pours a cloudy amber with mostly lasting white head and sticky lacing. The taste is primarily pine and perhaps some grapefruit. Medium body and crisp carbonation. Overall, enjoyable - went well with veggie tacos. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy orange body, medium white head, spotty lacing. Citrus, pine, and grapefruit. A bit crackery and malty. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, lingering finish is a little weak. Could be more assertive and clean.

On tap at Seco2d in Austin May 30, but worried this could be an old keg since availability is Dec-Apr. Pours a cloudy orange gold with small head in a tulip glass. Big grapefruit aroma with malty bready backbone. Hops are still there so thats good. Pine prickle up front fades into sweet malt and a lasting bitter on the palate. Massive lacing and a big slick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Pushes the malt bill of an impy even at only 6%. Pleasantly surprised here.

Shaker pint draft at the Ginger Man in downtown Dallas, Texas. The pour is a lightly hazed orange golden with a smallish white head. Nice lacing left on the glass. The aroma is subdued floral and citrus hops, balanced nicely with toasted cracker malt. The taste is the cracker malt, shows a touch of crystal malt "tea" type flavor, then moved towards the dry floral, slightly earthy hops. The palate is medium bodied, un filtered mouth feel, and the dryness of the floral hops. The after taste has gypsum and mineral. Nice beer, nice balance between malt and hop - though this didnít taste like it was super fresh.

Pours a deep marmalade with a small off-white head. Somewhat subdued aroma for the style, but what is there was good - non-aggressive hops, mostly citrus, some floral notes, bready malts - interesting. Flavor is mostly hoppy as well, some sweetness up front turns bitter by mid-drink...some caramel malt (more malt backbone than Iím used to for a ísingleí IPA), some fruity notes. Palate is average for the style, and this could easily be sessionable. Sure, Iíd give this another go!
