kidmartinek (644), austin, Texas, USA Mar 26, 2008 Beautiful appearance, Pretty dark to light copper, top to bottom, slightly cloudy. 1 inch thick head. Well balanced, nice sweet hop aroma with a little bit of spice. Insane bubbling coming from every location in the glass, which is just awesome. 360 degree coverage laces the glass on the draw down. Taste is, did I mention the aroma is just superb. On the palate, it starts off sweet, and sharp in the nose, medium-full body, and finishes a little funky with a dirty food taste, not unlike other live oak products. Could be due to their horizontal brew kettles. Nonetheless, the beer is awesome and finishes with a taste of Barton Springs pure spring water (limestone) hints. lb4lb (1233), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 4, 2007 Nice gold colored pour with a good sized white head as poured on draft. Smell is very nice, with an apricot fruity hoppiness, and a touch of honey and a bit of yeast. Taste is quite fruity, sweet malt, with a lasting light bitterness from the perfect hop presence. This is an underrated, quality pale similar to their IPA in flavors, but milder. Perfect combination of crisp and smooth feel on the palate. Proud to know this is a local beer, and one I look forward to getting again. graham515 (271), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2007 Really enjoyed this brew. Very unassuming, but very quenching at the same time. Nice aroma and nice hop presence makes this beer a must have! DaMenace123 (228), Houston, Texas, USA Mar 18, 2007 Draught at Logan’s. Light copper color, Aroma and flavor are hoppy with a hint of fruity tart. Average bitter finish. biz82 (1297), austin, Texas, USA Mar 7, 2007 Light amber with a frothy white head. Cascade hop and crystal malt aroma. Clean hop and caramel flavor with a distinct grainy note. Nice pale but not nice enough to stand out.
