The tap poured a sparkling clear medium amber colored beverage with a small white rocky head that was mostly diminishing and left some lacing on the glass. There was a light floral hop aroma with a subtle malt presence and a note of horse blanket in the background. The body was light with lively carbonation and a dry texture. The flavor started off slightly bitter and during the medium-long finish turned to a medium bitterness. There was a slight alcohol warmth in the finish as well.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice session beer. Copper pour with a stuicky head. Aromas arenít over the top but do attain the sort of hoppiness I desire in a good pale ale. Malts are too watery and flat. Nothing too exciting in the end but a good beer to drink 6 of or so.

Nice clear deep copper color with good head and lacing. Nice sweet malt body with a good earthy bitterness that lingers a while. Good APA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Maple, light oak colored. Cross between a pale and a golden. Cascade AR. Cascade flavor. Nothing spectacular here, but a good PA bunt single from a good brewery. Nicely orange-peel bittered, piney CO2. Balance on a knife-edge-- it never falls off on the side of sweetness, bitter, acid or overhopping. A clinic on the classic APA.

Poured orangey copper with a small but sticky off white head...smell is pine and soap...taste is like a weaker ipa...nice body, nice malt hop balance...finish is a little sticky sweet...

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught. Light hoppy nose. Good amount of hops. The malt and hops are balanced, but I donít like the variety of hops that they used. Kind of thin. Grassy taste that reminds me of a barn.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Had on tap at the Ginger Man in Auatin, TX. Dark orange appearance with a thic white head. Nice flroral aroma. Decent citirusy grapefruity hoppy fruity flavor, but not overdone - solid malty backbone - still remembers it is an APA, not an IPA. Smooth palate, would make a good session ale - worth ordering again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Believe there has been an ongoing evolution with this one whether it is slight or not, my imagination or not. Had a couple yesterday and would say that it's teetering on the edge of what could be called an IPA. Seem to remember a tad more malt sweetness underlying the bitter. Not that I'm having any complaint here. This was extremely enjoyable. And I remain pleased to have Live Oak here and available in some of the restaurants I frequent.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is their best beer, despite the Pilz hype. Solid visual appeal with a sweet grapefruity hoppy bitterness. Like this.
