Pint glass at DH- served a black color with ruby undertones, 1mm off tan head that tried to lace. Aroma of milk chocolate, caramel, and determination- hey, that’s what the notes say! Hits the mouth with a well recieved medium body, malt tastes just slightly toasted- close enough, almost a silky sensation as it comes off the tongue. Austin’s forgotten brewery can still turn some heads.

Aroma of roasted malts. Pours a brownish black with a rapidly dissipating tan head and no lacing. The taste is robust. Dark roasted malts, wood, with hints of coffee. Medium medium-light with medium carbonation. Overall, I liked this beer.

Sample at Hay Merchant. Opaque brown-black pour with a medium light tan head that recedes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt and hops. Light-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of bready malt, chocolate and mild hops. The finish is sweet with a roasted malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
