Cask at Hack and Hop. Pours bright orange with a very creamy white head. Nose has big tangy notes of lemon and line with orange rind and mild spice. Taste is absolutely tangy as shit. Huge lemon and orange. A big tangy bastard

Cask at The Nags Head in Reading. This is a pretty bland golden ale. Don’t be fooled by some decent marketing. This is definitely not a hop beast.

Cask at the malt and hops... Golden amber... Thick creamy white head... Soft lemon zest nose... Dry front... Quite pely wally flavour... Light bitter hop linger.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask. Frosty gold with orange tinges. Thin steady white head. Nose is tangerines, clementines, oranges, marmalade. Smooth in the mouth and a large bitter kick. It's fruity though - more tangerines, clementines, oranges, marmalade. Some lemon and a slight mango too. And grapefruit. Basically most of the opal fruits (starburst). A cracking flavourful pint.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hand-pulled pint in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 17th July 2013.
Good golden hue to the body with a full and lasting white head.
Hop nose, floral and slightly citrus.
The taste was also hop oriented but with a mini malt presence to help balance the flavours out a little. Body depth fine for the flavours.
OK more than great: pleasant rather than wonderful.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cask at York Tap. Golden yellow, good white head. Subtle floral hop notes in the aroma. Good mouthfeel with a touch of liveliness. Then it starts to go wrong, some off-notes and sulphur. The name is somewhat misleading.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England
Clear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, vomit notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO a bit borring !

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hand pulled at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Golden, not much scent. Taste is lemony, with some exhaust. Summer tang/tartness with a finish of dry straw. Definite (probable) UK hops in evidence here. It’s alright. The finishing bitterness is actually pretty pleasant.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Clear amber beer. Suddy small white head. Light dry palate. Whisper of sulphur. Insipid hops, dry finish. Meh!
