Half pint in a handled mug, cask, house beer at the Hub alehouse & kitchen. Tiny layer to a clear golden body. Smell of mid-sweet malts and dusty hops. Sweet and hoppy taste of resin and fruit, lightly spiced. Fresh fruit-bitter finish. Nice (Liverpool, 07.04.2013).

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120116]

On tap @ the Haymarket. This beer was in lovely condition - blonde with a reassuring haze and a good to ample head. The nose was a mixture of the barley and oranges. The taste delivered more of the orange and perhaps kidding myself but maybe even chocolate orange. There is a barley backbone too. The palate is light to medium in body with a dry refreshing finish. Overall, a great balance between tasty and session.

Cask at CASK, Pimlico. Bright amber with a loose white head; grassy hop aroma; sweet grainy body with more grassy hops; and a lengthy dry aromatic bitterness to finish with a touch of orange fruit. A trifle thin, but tasty.

On tap@ Fly in the Loaf (Liverpool). Bitter’s never been my cup of tea, however this beer rocks! Pale golden color, with a small white head. Floral aroma. On tongue it’s pure resin, herbs, very bitter and very hoppy. Light body with lively carbonation. Honestly, a well balanced beer. Would come back to Liverpool only to have another pint of.
