3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 imdownthepub (8492) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2012
Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Thick black with slight tan head. This isn’t a normal Friday night beer, certainly, and quite a surprise something this big in here. Rich, sweet, smooth and fruity from the off with a dark chocolate note and a tarry, bitumen hint in the close. Heavy on the palate, a real winter warmer and worth having.
