Half pint, cask by handpump at Angel, Manchester. Shared with Finn. Lasing white tophead. Clear amber coloured body. Malt-fruity aroma. Blended taste of oranges, caramel and herbal hops. Dry bitter ending. Good, a bit heavy to drink though (23.01.2013).

Bottle at The Anderson. 19th taster out of 19 at the 3rd Annual Burns Festival. I expected this to be a distant memory following the volume of ale consumed before this final taster - but I was very wrong. This was up there at the top as one of the best on the day. Beautifully balanced, great taste of pine, the right amount of hop and a dash of pepper. Incredibly good.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 12/10/2012. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Aroma of tropical fruits with sem grassy hops. Flavour of cereal malts, with more fruit leading to a dryish finish. Good.

Cask conditioned at Harbury Beer Fest ’12. Hazy gold with no head. Very little condition to this, quite green, really bitter, like an unripened greengage. It does improve though, grapefruit notes show through, lasting and dry. One to try again.

Bottle, 50 cl. Light hazy golden with decent white head. Aroma has notes of citrus, anis, light malts. A little sourness, too. Flavor is sweet and fruity, leading to a bitter, light herbal, slightly acidic hoppy finish. One of the better British IPA, I’ve had.
