COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
2009/2010 batch (#2) is a Belgian Quadrupel aged in a Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout cask for 20 months by itís re-release in 2010. During this time some wild yeast development as also occured. A younger version was limited release in 2009 and at that point had not developed any wild yeast tones. 2008 Batch #1 were aged various lengths (8 to 18 months) in a 5th use bourbon barrel and then dry-hopped with English Fuggles hop. The initial Livery batch 99 was brewed for release in celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the brewery in 2007.

Draft sample at the Michigan Brewers Guild Fall Fest. Poured an amber/brown with thin tan head. Aroma of slight bourbon and wood, sweet bready malt, and dark fruits. Sweet and slight tartness from the wild yeast. Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation. Interesting and pretty good.

RB Rating #200. Danís Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #75 of 90. On tap at The Livery. Pours cloudy orange/brown. Very nice sweet fruit and malt balance. This was my favorite from The Livery...well worth a visit. Excellent Sipper!!!

Great Taste, 2009. According to the program, aged in a Founders Canadian Breakfast stout barrel. Nice collaboration there. I liked this somewhat less than the Dark Trippel, although I liked the blurring of the lines between barleywine and quad, as this was very heavy on the caramel and dark fruit, but with the characteristic Belgian Quad yeast finish. This was boozy, although not hot. Finish is warming and fruity, with vanilla and oak contributing. Nicely done.

Draft. Pours a muddy, ruddy amber with little head but good lacing. Aroma is hot with booze, cherry, vanilla and malt. Tastes great, with less alcohol in the finish than I was expecting. A lot of tart fruit, yeast and subtle barrel flavors. Excellent, uncategorizable brew from one of MIís best.
