2014 release, on tap at pub. Pour is hazy yellow with a small bubbly white head. Aroma and flavor of wet hay, fruity hops, citrus, spice, yeast, and a touch of funk.

750 ml. bottle. It pours a nice clear deep golden color with a medium fizzy off white head. The aroma some light funk, straw, hints of stone fruit and white grape. Nice subdued oaky notes seem more Chardonnay derived to me with the more tropical/white grape thing going on. The flavor is pretty much the same with more prominent barrel oak and grape notes. Light hints of caramel and stone fruit before a mildly soapy, phenolic finish. Almost no sourness here, just a little acidity and funk. It has a decently full body, but a dry finish befitting a brett beer. Very pleasant stuff.

(Draught) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a small off-white head. Aroma of oak, earthiness, mustiness, white grapes, and wild berries. Flavor of oak, sour funkiness, earth, and light citrus with a dry finish.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2009 tap at the livery....poured a slightly hazy orange brown with a short-lived soapy white head clinging to the edges....a really fruity aromatic nose consisting of tropical and citrus fruits. not too much barrel influence.....flavor was tart and citrusy with an abundance of fruit. soft carbonation and very refreshing overall......a really great way to start off the day.

Growler… Hazy yellow ale with no head. I can only describe the aroma as Barnyard-Extreme! Layers of fresh and stale manure, straw, horse blanket and limburger cheese – in a good way? Yep! Medium-bodied with nearly expired carbonation. Tart with essences of aged, old, vintage cheese. No residual sweetness can be found lingering in the midst of the acidity and the balancing, earthy, minerally bitterness. Finishes tart, funky and dry. Thanks to GoT for providing the growler!

5th Annual MBG Winter Beer Festival, Grand Rapids. Murky orange-brown body, medium cream head. Oaky nose, sour and fruity, tangy, and herbal. Quite oaky body, lactic and tangy, with sour, tart fruits. Good complexity.

Draft to taster at The Livery. This is the 2014 vintage, which is 6% and aged in white wine barrels (and should probably be a separate entry). Looks solid; a transparent gold with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells mildly tart and bretty with a soft presence from the white wine barrel. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly tart mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

Growler thanks to cpferris. Pours mostly clear golden with a minimal head. The aroma has a little Brett, with not too much else really to it. The flavor is somewhat Belgian with a small malt presence and some wild/bretty notes. The palate is very light with a mild acidity. Really drinkable and even refreshing.

2014 version pour on tap at the brewery, hazy golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, white grape, hints of yeast, spice, some earth, touch of grass. Taste is slight tart fruit, white grape, peach, some hints of bread, biscuit, touch of spice, finishing with some oak, dry, slightly tart.
