Well time to open this 3 year old bottle

Yep still as flat as pancake BUT damn it tis tasty with rich chocolate, caramel, toast, vanilla, Bourbon, oak, licorice, old leather, pipe tobacco, mint and marzipan. Very British in its nature much like Courage RIS.

Thanks, Derek. Flat black pour with no head. Intense alcohol aroma. Plenty of bourbon, some coconut, roasted malt, and char. A bit of vanilla, some dark chocolate, and licorice. The flavor is much smoother. Nice vanilla, bourbon, and coconut. Some alcohol heat, lots of chocolate, roasted malt, and a bit of ash. Very mild coffee notes as well as some charred oak.

Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice bourbon note with a good amount of coffee and roasted malts backed by chocolate. Flavor has a lot of bourbon and vanilla up front with a bit of coconut. Mellows in to more of bitter dark chocolate and coffee note with a hint of oak in the finish. Smooth.
