3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler... March 08 Tampa Bay Tasting... Clear yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Fruity, floral, earthy nose... a total hop bomb! Lots of fuzzy and tropical fruits in there. Medium-bodied and acerbic with restrained carbonation. Fruity, tangy flavor. Moderate to medium bitter. Dangerously drinkable. Bitter, astringent, dry finish. Growler provided by BBB63!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had this on draft at the hopcat in Grand Rapids. Nice aroma of citrus and light tropical fruit. Taste is citrus and pine, nice backing pale malt, fairly well balanced. I thought this was drinkable and well done.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2015 Snifter at the brewery. Fresh juicy orange and pine tar greet the nose, with some sweet honey and hop oil notes. Some yeast presence up front, muddled, but then the beer turns sharp and textured, finishing with a homebrew resemblance, then more of a juicy blood orange hop flavor with a bit of sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Came to the bar a in my little 10oz glass with a hazy orange hue. One finger white head that left some decent lacing as it fell. Pretty straightforward looking IIPA.
The aroma seemed to be a little subdued (it was served a little on the cold side). What was there was good though. A solid backbone of caramel and pale candy like malts. Nice hop addition with notes of candied orange and grapefruit with a pine middle.
The flavor was right along the lines of the aroma but stepped up a little bit. Where the aroma was subdued this was all there and quite tasty. Nice malt profile but no chance in standing up to the hops.
Medium bodied with a nice creamy slick mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation kept things moving and got the tongue working.
Easy drinking IIPA. The alcohol is low enough to have a few and the nice juicy flavor doesn’t hurt either.
Solid IIPA from the Livery. If this was on tap my next trip through town I’d give it another go.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler sampled at the Pre-RBSG ’Tosa gathering on 6/21/07 courtesy of BBB63: Pours a clear orange amber with a frothy, well-lacing white head. Nice, fresh citrusy piny hoppy aroma has a touch of lightly sweet pale malt. Starts lightly sweet and pale malty with good earthy fresh hops toward a crisp bittersweet finish. A nice double IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Weighing it at 9% ABV on my visit to the brewpub, this DIPA packs a whollop both with the hops and with the alcohol. It pours a hazy gold body, mayhaps with a touch of amber, and a modest head. The aroma has at its base some sweet grainy malts and a splash of caramel. This is then buried beneath hop scents of pine, grapefruit, and tangerine. The flavor starts light and sweet with grainy malt, then gets buried by an avalanche of solid hop bitterness. The finish is prolonged and biting, a tasty unbalanced drink.

On tap at the brewery. Light yellow with white head. Pine/citrus hop aroma with strong caramel malt. Bubblegum, orange hop with nice malt, great. Medium to full body with medium carb, light creaminess. Powerful hop centered IIPA.
