imadeadguy (155), From NJ, now in Clovis, California, USA Apr 11, 2008 Thanks to TheRealBastard for a glass of this one. Growler. Aromas of pine and citrus. Flavor is all resin/pine with a little citrus in the finish. This seemed wattery to me. This beer is very slammable due to that fact and it runs at 9% which is not present at all. Not too bad overall.
marcus (1051), Sacramento, California, USA Sep 22, 2008 On tap at the brewery. This clear and dark golden ale poured with a thin off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a nice blend of malts and hops with a little bite at the finish. pepsican (762), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA Aug 26, 2008 GTMW! Hazy orange pour with a thin white head. Skunky hop and caramel aroma. Flavor was caramel, pineapple, coconut, orange peel...and a bit more funky hops. Bitter finish. General_Gao (2569), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 24, 2008 GTMW ’08. Poured a hazy medium orange color. Topped with a white head. Attractive fruity aroma including the likes of mango, orange, and melon. Medium bodied (without being syrupy) and slightly sweet. Mild to moderate hop bitterness. Lots of fruit in the flavor, as foreshadowed by the aroma. I tasted orange, mango, and apricot. There was also a crushed pine needle accent. Very nice. bdigi66 (456), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 17, 2008 Draft: Poured at the brewpub...clear, light bronze color with a nice white head, good retention and lacing noted. Nose hints at grassy hops, resin, flowers and lemon. Big, lemongrass taste that is bittered up to the heavens...some pale malts and floral notes are their along with a light citrus accent. RAYBOY01 (1627), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 10, 2008 Hazy golden pour floating a medium fluffy white head and emanating a pretty robust PNW citrus and pine aroma. Biscuity caramel malts, sweet and bread-like with tons of orange. tangarine and pine needles throughout the palate make this IIPA very satisfying for those seeking an over-the-top hop bite.
